Obituaries Kathleen R. Keil Mrs. Keil, 50, of Ocean Township, died April 5, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. born in Hoboken, she resided in Ocean Township the past 27 years. She was a legal secretary and paralegal at several law offices. She was a communicant of and taught CCD at St. Anselm's Roman Catholic Church, Wayside section of Ocean Township. She was predeceased by her father, James J. Rudd in 1977. She is survived by her mother, Eileen Rudd of Sayreville; her husband, Richard M. Keil; two daughters, Samantha Rose Keil at home, and Stephanie Selina Keil of Garfield; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Colleen and Richard Bork of Brick, and Pegeen and Jeffrey Firestine of South River; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Keith and Gypsy Rudd of Jeannette, Pa., and James Rudd of Old Bridge; several nephews; and one niece. A memorial service will be April 15 at 2 p.m. at St. Anselm's Church.
Frederick C. O'Connell Mr. O'Connell, 71, of Middletown, died March 27, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was born in New York City. He was a Realtor at Diane Turton Realtors, Middletown, where he was employed the past 30 years. He served with the U.S. Army during Peacetime. He was a member of the National Board of Realtors. He is survived by his wife, Marian Rothfeld O'Connell; four daughters and one son-in-law, Laurie A. and Denis Fluet of Brick, Crystal M. Enderlin and Jaime L. O'Connell, both of Middletown, and Wendy V. O'Connell of Ocean; a son, Kevin O'Connell of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister and brother-in-law,. Kathleen and Richard Troy of Vero Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Philip T. "Skip" Sheehan Mr. Sheehan, 76, of Monmouth Beach, died March 31, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Fair Haven, prior to relocating to Monmouth Beach in 1995. He was employed at Fidelity Union Bank, Newark, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, he was employed at Irving Trust Company, New York City. He served with the U.S. Army from 1952-54. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Mets, and the New York Giants. He enjoyed time with his family. He was predeceased by three brothers, George, Jim and Jack; and six sisters, Arline Hopkins, Joan Kelly, Patsy Daly, Anne Murphy, Honey Holsey and Margie Mullin. He is survived by three sisters, Sister Mary Sheehan, RSCJ, of Greenwich, Conn.; Fran Fountain of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; and Liz Sheehan of Monmouth Beach; a brother, Mike of Monmouth Beach; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rome and Maria Sheehan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Tim and Sarah Sheehan of Glenview, Ill.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Traci and Chris Van Thull of Coloma, Calif., and daughter Susan and Ted Ferguson of Portland, Ore.; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Phyllis F. Fantasia Hansen Mrs. Hansen, 59, of Eatontown, died April 10, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Jersey City, she resided in the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge 25 years, prior to relocating to Eatontown three years ago. She was a homemaker. Prior to that, she was employed at Eastern Dental, Parlin, for three years. She was a former communicant of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor. She is survived by three daughters, Erica Salicco of Howell, Christina Hansen of Old Bridge, and Donna Hansen of Eatontown; a son, Wally Hansen of Eatontown; a brother, Albert J. Fantasia of Las Vegas; and a grandson. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Alice A. Chasey Mrs. Chasey, 78, of Eatontown, died April 11, 2007, at home. born in Long Branch, she was a 56-year resident of Eatontown. She was employed at West Ward Pharmaceutical, Eatontown, for 13 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Teamsters Local No. 210. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan and David Moyes of Eatontown, and Linda Edwards of East Windsor; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dan and Rose Chasey, and Edward Chasey Jr., all of Eatontown; a brother, Forrest Bennett Jr. of Long Branch; a sister, Mary Chasey of Eatontown; and 10 grandchildren. Arrangements were by Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown. Dr. David "Doc" Roth Dr. Roth, 94, of Long Branch, died April 12, 2007, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was born in Carteret. He was a podiatrist for 73 years, with an Long Branch, and formerly in Carteret and Perth Amboy. He was also a trainer for the Monmouth College, West Long Branch, basketball team in the 1960s. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed baseball, basketball and the racetrack. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred in 2004. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Perry Gnos, Ann and Richard Stahl, and Emily and David Kaplan, all of Long Branch; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A memorial service was at Temple Beth El, Oakhurst section of Ocean Township.
