In 1996, he was awarded the David Lopatie Chair for Post-Holocaust Psychological Studies.
Adwan's publications include "Learn to Live Together," with Dr. Ruth Firer; "Comparative Analysis of the Israeli and Palestinian Conflict in History and Civic Education"; "Two Conflicts, Four Countries (Greece, Turkey, Israel, and Palestine)"; and "The Historical Perception of Israeli and Palestinian Youth," with Dr. Shifra Sagy.
