Sandy Hook Golf Open taking registrations

The 18th annual Sandy Hook Foundation Golf Open planning committee is under way and meets every two weeks at Bahrs Restaurant and Marina in Highlands (Bay Avenue at the foot of the Highlands Bridge). The outing is planned for Monday, May 14 at the exclusive Bamm Hollow Country Club in Lincroft.

The annual golf outing features challenging contests such as Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, Straightest Drive, a Putting Contests and Hole-in-One Challenges with spectacular prizes awarded to each winner. There is a Super 50/50 drawing for three cash winners with first prize of up to $6,500. A shotgun start at 1 p.m., scramble format and 18-hole round played over Bamm Hollow's 27 holes means no waiting, and play moves quickly and evenly. Participants will enjoy an exciting day of golf while supporting the Sandy Hook Foundation's next major project, restoration of the historic Mortar Battery. Sign up for $350 per player, which includes lunch, golf and cart, use of the driving range and locker room, and a two-hour cocktail reception, silent auction and awards ceremony complete with passed hors d'oeuvres. Form a foursome and sign up before April 15, for $1,200 ($1,400 after April 15), a savings of $50 per player. Sponsorship opportunities remain available at this time. Hole sponsorship costs $100. The three other categories of sponsorships are the $300 General Sponsor, the $500 Classic Sponsor, and the $1,000 Principal Sponsor. Call the foundation office at (732) 291-7733 for more information or to let them know you will attend. Sign up today.
