$3M pavilion redo will cost taxpayers

I have just received my application for the bathing pavilion from Monmouth Beach.

What a surprise. Trying to compare to the beach and pool rates of the area, you can't. They are private beach clubs; they are a business.

Why aren't Sue Howard and Jim Cunniff dropping the $3 million to remodel the club? It looks like the taxpayers are going to get hit as they have already in beach fees.

I know many that are not, including me, going to go for the extra badges, as the cost has doubled. As a taxpayer, isn't that an increase to me?

Why are they so determined to spend the taxpayers' money? I, for one, will be researching the income and expenses of the club and why no repairs were made for 2006. Was it for the benefit of the architects taking pictures to do repairs?
