Temple Beth Miriam, 180 Lincoln Ave. in Elberon will host "The Art of Giving," an art auction, Saturday, May 5. Previews will begin at 7 p.m. and the auction will begin at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 per guest and includes wine and cheese and hors d'oeuvres. The fundraiser is co-sponsored by the TBM Sisterhood and Programming Committees. Many Israeli artists' works, as well as Judaic art will be included as well as giclee (prints), original art, statues or object d'art for the home, office or gifts. The Long Branch Historical Association and the Long Branch Arts Council will kick off the summer season with the 9th annual "Art in the Park" outdoor art show. The event will be held one block from the beach in West End Park on the corner of Brighton and Ocean Avenues in Long Branch Sunday, May 27. Sculpture, works on canvas and paper, hand-crafted fine jewelry, hand-sculptured pottery and ceramics, mixed media, and photography will be represented. The show will be juried with cash prizes offered in several categories.

If an elderly family member requires home-delivered meals and want to receive Kosher Meals on Wheels, call (732)774-2990. There is no income requirement to receive the meals; to be eligible, the person must be homebound. A voluntary donation is suggested. Volunteer drivers are needed. Kosher Meals on Wheels is a program of Jewish Family & Children's Service of Greater Monmouth County and JCC of Greater Monmouth County. Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch will host a stress-free workshop Tuesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. "Finding Joy" will be a two-hour program at the medical center, 300 Second Ave. On April 11 at 7 p.m., the workshop will be offered again at the Tatum Park Activity Center, Red Hill Road, in Middletown. In recognition of April as National Minority Health Month, Monmouth Medical Center will present "To Your Health" Wednesday, April 11, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Monmouth Mall near the food court, routes 35 and 36 in Eatontown. The event will feature health information on a variety of topics of interest to minorities, including maternal, infant and child health; cancer; diabetes; heart disease and stroke. Staff from Monmouth Medical Center will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. Free blood pressure screenings will also be available.

The Center for Vocational Rehabilitation will host a free job fair for the public on Wednesday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its headquarters at 15 Meridian Road in Eatontown. Participating employers include Commerce Bank, ShopRite, Amboy National Bank, Foodtown and others. The event is co-sponsored by the Monmouth County Workforce Investment Board, Ladacin and The United Way of Monmouth County. The Brookdale Asbury Park Higher Education Center is scheduled to host a job fair at its Grand Avenue location on April 24 and 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Employers will have the opportunity to meet and interview prospective employees.
