Dems host forum for twp. candidates OCEAN TOWNSHIP - The Greater Township of Ocean Democratic Club (serving Ocean, Allenhurst, Deal, Interlaken and Loch Arbour) will present a forum featuring members of the Township Council up for re-election May 8. All members of the council have been in office since 2003. They include Mayor William F. Larkin, Deputy Mayor J. David Hiers, Councilman Stuart A. Chavis, and councilwomen Donna L. Schepiga and Chris Siciliano. Come and meet the council members and participate in a question-and-answer period on Thursday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the West Park Recreation Complex, 615 W. Park Ave., Oakhurst (opposite Ocean Township High School). Enter by the side door of the Recreation Center building. For directions or information, call (732) 493-3417. The program, free to the public, will follow a short business meeting. Nonmembers of the club interested in becoming members are invited to attend the meetings at 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the same location.
