The Long Branch Concordance will host "A Taste of Spring" April 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cask 591 on Broadway in Long Branch. The event includes a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, live music and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $35 if purchased prior to April 9 and $40 at the door. The Italian American Memorial Association will host a spaghetti dinner tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. at the IAMA building on Brighton Avenue in Long Branch. The cost of the event is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for children ages 4-12 and free for children under the age of 3. The all-you-can-eat dinner will include spaghetti and homemade meatballs. The Oakhurst Ladies Auxiliary will host a breakfast with the Easter Bunny April 1 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Oakhurst Firehouse on Larkin Place. The breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice, coffee and tea and will cost $5 for adults and $3 for children. Photos will also be available with the Easter Bunny for $3.

The West Long Branch Foundation for Public Education will host its first family fundraiser, "Mad About Science," April 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Frank Antonides and Betty McElmon elementary schools, and will feature a demonstration by Mad Science The event will also include carnival games, art projects, food and prizes. Tickets for the event are $3 per person if purchased prior to the event and $5 at the door. A sheet of tickets can be purchased for food and activities for $10; there will be no admission charge for children age 3 and younger.

Proceeds from the event will help raise funds for the weather station.

The Eatontown Recreation Department will sponsor its annual Easter Egg Hunt March 31 at Wolcott Park. The event will take place on Hick's Field, adjacent to the pavilion, and is open to all Eatontown residents ages preschool through sixth grade.

The preschoolers will start off the hunt at 2 p.m., kindergartners and first-graders at 2:10 p.m., second- and third-graders at 2:20 p.m., and fourth- through sixth-graders at 2:30 p.m. The different areas will be marked with signs.

Plastic eggs will be placed throughout Hick's field for children to find. The eggs can be redeemed for candy and toys. Remember to bring a basket to collect the eggs and a camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny. There is no fee or registration required. The Eatontown Lions Club will host its annual pancake breakfast Sunday, April 1, at the Meadowbrook School, Wykoff Road, near Broad Street (Route 71). Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. until noon and will feature all the pancakes you can eat. In addition to the pancakes, the breakfast includes sausage, orange juice, and coffee, tea or milk. The cost for adults is $4, and $2 for children under age 12.

"By the Beautiful Sea," a luncheon, fashion and shopping event to benefit the New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch, will take place Friday, May 11, at Pier Village on the Long Branch oceanfront. Guests can browse Pier Village shops and purchase chances to win store gift packages. Attendees will enjoy an oceanfront lunch at McLoone's Pier House and view the latest in hot weather fashions. The event will include special store discounts, sumptuous desserts and a chance to win a $500 Pier Village shopping spree - a great way to kick off Mother's Day weekend.
