Lecture at Vietnam Era Center March 31

The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Foundation will host an author lecture by Philip J. Briggs, "Avoiding Armageddon: John F. Kennedy and American Foreign Policy," March 31 at 1 p.m.

The lecture is based on Briggs' book "Making American Foreign Policy: President-Congress Relations from the Second World War to the post-Cold War Era." It will be held at the Vietnam Era Educational Center, Holmdel. Briggs is a former lifeguard, served with the U.S. Coast Guard, and received a Department of Defense Cold War Recognition Certificate for his service.
