Bird walks slated for April 14, 15

The Sandy Hook Bird Observatory will present a bird walk led by New Jersey Audubon Society senior naturalist Scott Barnes April 14 at 8:45 a.m. The walk will begin at lot b, Bayberry lot, Sandy Hook.

Attendees will search for hawks and songbirds on the walk. Monmouth County Park System naturalist Andrew Spears will lead a bird walk April 15 at 8:45 a.m. at Turkey Swamp Park, Georgia Road, Freehold.

Cost or either of the above is $20 for nonmembers, and $15 for members. Preregistration is required and may be done by calling Sandy Hook Bird Observatory at (732) 872-2500.
