Elberon First Aid needs volunteers

The Long Branch Elberon First Aid Squad is seeking new members. Membership is open to area residents ages 17 and older. Free training will be provided to obtain EMT certification for volunteers, which consists of 120 hours of classes.

The Elberon First Aid Squad is the only all-volunteer organization providing emergency response in the city to 911 calls for service, according to a press release from the squad.

The squad provides volunteer emergency medical service care free of charge. The primary response area is the Elberon section of the city from south of Cedar Avenue to east of Norwood Avenue.

The squad provides mutual aid response to assist Long Branch First Aid and surrounding volunteer first aid squads.

For more information, call (732) 222-9226 or e-mail elberonfirst-aid@yahoo.com.
