Siperstein's opens at new location

LONG BRANCH - Siperstein's Paint & Decorating Center is open for business at its new location at 700 Route 36 in the former site of Brunswick Lanes.

Siperstein's in Long Branch has been operating at its downtown location on Broadway for more than four decades and has relocated to make room for a redevelopment project, which will revitalize the lower Broadway area.

The new and completely renovated Siperstein's Center building is highlighted on the outside by a 126-by-16-foot mural, which depicts a trompe l'oeil lower Broadway scene from the 1930s, complete with vintage cars and the Paramount and Strand theater marquees.

Siperstein's partner Todd Katz said the business is the largest specialized paint and decorating retail outlet of its kind in Monmouth County.

The store occupies 14,000 square feet of the building's total 28,000 square feet. The remainder of the space is leased by Atlantic Plumbing.

At the new Siperstein's location, there are over 30,000 in-stock home products, including wall-covering collections and novel products such as trim and accent furniture pieces, according to a press release.

The store has a new area rug department and a wallpaper department that features coordinated wall coverings, pillows, fabrics and other home fashions and window treatments.
