R.S.V.P. for 'Charity Anti-Ball' by Feb. 12

Ocean Place Resort and Spa, Ocean Avenue, Long Branch, will host a "Charity Anti-Ball" Feb. 17 from 7 p.m.-midnight to benefit the United Way of Monmouth County.

The event is presented by the Central Jersey Young Professionals, affiliated with the United Way. It will feature a dinner, DJ, give-aways, a gift auction and cash bar. Attendees are encouraged to dress in gaudy attire, with prizes given in categories of "worst dressed" couple, female and male. Prizes include a weekend getaway to Chicago, and Ocean Place spa weekends.

Eatontown Elks spaghetti dinner slated for Feb. 16

Eatontown Elks Lodge No. 2402, 216 Broad St., will hold a spaghetti and meatball dinner Feb. 16 from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $6, and $5 for seniors for the homemade meal, which also features salad and dessert.

The Lodge holds a roast beef dinner the first Friday of each month from 5-7 p.m. Price is $7, and $6 for dinners, and the meal includes salad and dessert.

Free hot meals at area church Feb. 9

United Fellowship Baptist Church, 603 Third Ave., Asbury Park, will provide free hot meals the second Friday of each month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The effort is sponsored by the church's food ministry and The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
