Obituaries Viola T. Basilice Fantasia Mrs. Fantasia, 82, of Hazlet, died Jan. 17, 2007, at Bayshore Health Care, Holmdel. Born in Hoboken, she resided in Jersey City prior to relocating to Bethany Towers, Hazlet. She was a homemaker, and a factory worker at various area factories. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert K. Fantasia in 1993; and eight siblings. She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis F. Hansen of Eatontown; a son, Albert J. Fantasia of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Patrick Daley Patrick H. Daley, 41, of Brick, died Jan. 22, 2007, at Ocean County Medical Center at Brick. Born in Neptune, he had lived most of his life in Howell before moving to Brick 14 years ago. He was a former coach for a girls' softball league in Brick, a former member of the Howell BPO Elks, and an avid sports fan. Mr. Daley had been the circulation manager for the Asbury Park Press and the Star-Ledger, prior to becoming disabled in 2004. He was predeceased by his wife, Diana, in 2001, and his father, William, in 2006. Surviving are a daughter, Amanda Marie Daley of Brick; his mother, Joyce Daley of Freehold Township; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Timothy Daley of Freehold Township; and William and Elaine Daley of Tinton Falls; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marta and Al Schwank of Ocean Township; three sisters-in-law, Brenda, Christine and Anna; and four nephews. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia. Florence "Cookie" Waitt Mrs. Waitt, 66, of Long Branch, died Jan. 22, 2007, following a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed time with her family, gardening, country music, and riding her three-wheel motorcycle on which she picked up her grandchildren from school, as well as rode nationwide. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ronald Waitt; four daughters and one son-in-law, Susan Waitt, Sharie McCormick, Tammy Waitt, and Kim and her husband Burke; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sandra and Rich Lang, and Patricia Hurst; a brother, Benjamin Hurst; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements were by Posten's Funeral Home, Atlantic Highlands.
