33rd Holiday Ball to benefit library

WEST LONG BRANCH - Mon-mouth University's historic Woodrow Wilson Hall will be transformed into an enchanted forest for the 33rd annual Holiday Ball and "Celebration of Trees" on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Monmouth University Library Association, in cooperation with the Monmouth University Business Council, with proceeds benefiting the university's newly renovated library.

AIG American General, Neptune, will be honored with the library association's annual 'Community and Humanities Award' for its outstanding service to the community.

Christmas trees, decorated by professional holiday designer Susan Musica, Neptune, will adorn the dance floor, grand stairway and bandstand of majestic Wilson Hall, illuminating the grand ballroom with festive ornamentation and transforming the Great Hall into a winter wonderland.

The black-tie gala will include a silent auction filled with unique offerings, just in time for holiday giving, and guests will enjoy an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing.

Tickets are $175 per person. For more information, contact the Office of Special Events at (732) 571-3509.
