Volunteers sought for food bank wrapping booth

The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Neptune, and Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, will operate a gift-wrapping booth Nov. 24 through Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the food court area of the mall.

Wrapping will be done by volunteers from local corporations, clubs and organizations, with proceeds benefiting the food bank. The food bank is providing all the supplies to wrap the gifts, and is also looking for volunteers to do the wrapping. Volunteers are asked to commit to a two-hour shift. Corporations, clubs, organization or individual interested in volunteering may call the food bank at (732) 918-2600. The mall is located at routes 35 and 36.

Park system slates trip to 'Nutcracker' Dec. 2

The Monmouth County Park System will host a trip to see "The Nutcracker" at Lincoln Center, New York City, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The New York City Ballet will perform the holiday classic.

The cost is $120, which covers transportation, second-ring seats, and a park system leader. The bus will depart from Thompson Park, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown.
