Carly Jara Monmouth County Arts Council President Peter Lyden III auctions a painting created by guests working under the inspired eye of Red Bank artist Pinky during a fundraiser marking the arts council's 35th anniversary on Oct. 23.
Luba Lukova is at the Rotary Ice House Gallery at Monmouth University in West Long Branch through Dec. 1. Lukova is an internationally recognized artist and designer working in New York. Originally from Bulgaria, her work has been published in national magazines and books and she received a gold medal at the International Poster Biennale in Mexico. The Shore Institute of the Contemporary Arts in Long Branch (SICA) will host its Fifth Annual Art Auction Friday, Nov. 17, 6:30 - 9 p.m. A meet the artists cocktail hour will be held 6:30-7:45 p.m. and the live auction begins at 7:45 p.m.

Admission is $40 for nonmembers, $30 for members. Proceeds from the auction benefit SICA. For more information, visit www.sica.org.

Monmouth University's Department of Music and Theatre Arts will present "Lot's Daughters," a drama by Rebecca Basham. The three-act drama explores Christian dogma and its historical repression of homosexuals. Opening night performance with author Rebecca Basham will be held Friday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m. Additional performances on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m.; and Tuesday, Nov. 14, through Saturday, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m. in the Lauren K. New Jersey Repertory Company's fundraising event "An Eclectic Evening," held Oct. 23 at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, sold out, drawing more than 450 revelers and raising over $52,000 to support NJ Rep's ongoing mission to create new works for the American stage. Two River Theater Company will present "Tartuffe," Molire's classic comedy about the power play between religion and politics, Nov. 15-Dec. 3. This will be the world premiere production of the adaptation by acclaimed playwright Constance Congdon and marks the first time in the company's 13-year history that TRTC will produce the world premiere of a theatrical work. The Jersey Shore Rock-N-Soul Revue concert series returns to the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank Saturday, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m. Led by music director Bobby Bandiera, the revue returns with "The Wall of Sound: The Music of Phil Spector." Each concert in the series highlights the collective work of an individual artist or genre. Compiled by Bandiera, the band is an all-star ensemble featuring the finest local musicians. As a music producer, Spector created some of the most memorable sounds of his era, from "Spanish Harlem" by Ben E. King to "Let It Be" by The Beatles. The Shore Institute of Contemporary Art (SICA) presents a night of great music Saturday, Nov. 18, with Rich Rose & Friends. With Neil Young and Bob Dylan as musical inspiration, the band's sound can be described as a combination of rock, country bluegrass and folk.
