Arc honors caregivers during Family Caregivers Month

November is National Family Caregivers Month. This is a reminder of the many families in New Jersey and throughout the nation who are caregivers of persons with disabilities.

The Arc of Monmouth wants to recognize and applaud the parents, siblings and other family members of persons with cognitive disabilities who provide care to these persons.

Family caregivers continue to be the largest part of the support system for people with developmental disabilities. The unpaid devotion of family caregivers benefits not only their family member, but also the community as a whole.

We commend and thank the many family caregivers for their commitment to providing advocacy, support, and tender direct care to their family member with a disability.
