Condo group endorses Unger

LONG BRANCH - The Long Branch Coalition of Condominium Associations (LBCCA) announced its endorsement of City Council candidate Brian Unger in the Nov. 7 municipal election.

The coalition held its quarterly meeting Oct. 18 at the Harbour Mansion Condominium complex on Ocean Avenue, and the endorsement was made by a unanimous vote of the group's board of directors, according to LBCCA secretary Sharon Wise.

The coalition represents 40 condominium associations in Long Branch with approximately 1,500 residences, Wise said.

LBCCA President Bill McLaughlin said, "Our organization feels strongly that Brian Unger can best represent our interests in city hall, indeed the interests of all Long Branch residents.

"He's been active in city politics and issues for decades, establishing a record of honesty and accomplishment," McLaughlin said in a press release.

"Our association has been deeply concerned about high taxes and corruption in city hall and the correlation between the two," McLaughlin said, adding, "Pay-to-play costs our taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars and erodes trust and confidence in city government."
