Red Bank International Film Festival Oct. 13-15

Three days of screenings, filmmaker appearances, festival gatherings and awards will turn Red Bank into indie cinema central Oct. 13-15 when the Freedom Film Society's (FFS) sixth annual Red Bank International Film Festival opens.

Screenings will take place at Clearview Cinemas on White Street, the Count Basie Theatre on Monmouth Street, and the Two River Theater on Bridge Avenue, while other venues in Red Bank will showcase appearances by festival filmmakers, parties and more.

The festival will include over 50 features, documentaries, foreign films, animation, shorts, classics and experimental films, many of which have played to acclaim in major film festivals. The Jersey Fresh series and an Emerging Filmmaker segment are festival hallmarks. The festival awards presentations takes place Sunday night at 9:30 p.m. at Red restaurant and lounge on Broad Street.

Tickets can be purchased at screening venues and online at www.rbiff.org. Festival passes are $85, day passes are $30 and individual films and shorts segment tickets are $10. FFS members pay $8 per screening.
