Obituaries Steven Gosewisch Mr. Gosewisch, 51, of Ocean Township, died Jan. 12 at home. Born in Flushing, N.Y., he resided in Denville, and the Elberon area of Long Branch prior to moving to Ocean Township. He was a music teacher at Howell High School for 30 years, and recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award in 1992. He was also associate conductor of the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra. He was a member of the New Jersey Music Educators Association, and New Jersey Educators Association. He was predeceased by his mother, Helene in 1972. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Arthur and Rae Gosewisch of Wilmington, N.C.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Carol and Andrew Strayer of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Barbara Gosewisch of Lake Hopatcong; and one nephew. A funeral service was at Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Interment was at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Arrangements were by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
