Khalid M. Ahmad, M.D., Red Bank, recently joined the medicine/infectious disease department at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.

Margaret O’Meara, president of The O’Meara Financial Group, Red Bank, was recently named to the NJBiz’s list of “40 Under 40” for 2005. The award recognizes accomplishments of 40 men and women younger than age 40 that have made outstanding contributions to the individual’s field. The O’Meara Financial Group works with corporations to create and maintain company retirement plans.

Allison C. Bernstein, Tinton Falls, has been promoted to associate at the engineering firm of Maser Consulting, Red Bank. Bernstein has been with the firm six years and is director of human resources. She is responsible for designing and administering the firm’s human resources policies and procedures, providing guidance for compliance with all federal and state employment laws, and managing the recruiting process and benefits administration.

Red Bank dentist Robert Korwin, D.M.D., recently received the Mastership Award from The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) at its annual meeting. The award is the highest honor available in the AGD, and has been awarded to approximately 2,100 dentists worldwide. Korwin has had a practice in Monmouth County since 1983, and teaches general dental residents at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.

The certified public accounting and consulting firm of WithumSmith&Brown (WS&B), Red Bank, has announced the addition of Lisa J. Galinsky, a certified public accountant and a certified valuation analyst, as a manager. She specializes in audit, tax and business valuation services.

An Old Bridge resident, Galinsky received her bachelor of science degree in accounting cum laude from Monmouth College, West Long Branch. She serves as co-chair of the CPE Committee of the Monmouth/Ocean Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. She received the 2004 Young Leadership Award from the Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Greater Monmouth County. WS&B has locations in Livingston, Morristown, New Brunswick, Red Bank, Princeton, Somerville and Toms River, and in New York City and Newtown, Pa.

The New Jersey Affiliate of the National Human Resources Association (NHRA) will hold its monthly meetings at The Old Orchard Manor, 54 Monmouth Road, Eatontown, beginning Jan. 17. NHRA meets the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8 p.m. Meetings are open to human resource professionals and executives, and include guest speakers. Call Judy at (732) 938-3421.

The Central Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners will host “Networking After Hours” Jan. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Serenella’s Market, 130A Route 79 south, Marlboro. Serenella’s will present a food demonstration, and attendees will receive a 20 percent discount on purchases that evening. The event is open to members and nonmembers.
