Rose R. DeBartolis Beaver

Mrs. Beaver, 80, of Long Branch, died Dec. 1 at home following a battle with cancer. Born in Newark, she was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. Mrs. Beaver was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Long Branch Community Club and the Long Branch Policemen’s Benevolent Association. She was predeceased by her husband, George Milton Beaver, in 1994. Mrs. Beaver is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Guy and Deborah Beaver of Neptune City, and Scott and Karinna Beaver of Brick; a daughter and son-in-law, Elinor and Phil DeSantis of Jackson; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Alice DeBartolis of Eatontown; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, followed by interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. The Hoffman Funeral Home, Long Branch, was in charge of arrangements.

Christopher W. Bloom

Mr. Bloom, 31, of Marion, Ohio, and formerly Little Silver, died Nov. 19 at home. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Little Silver for more than 28 years prior to moving to Marion. He was a mechanic at Taylor Towing, Marion. He is survived by his parents, Sandra and Michael Bloom; a son and daughter, Christopher and Brianna; a brother, Troy of Little Silver; a sister, Carrie Giles of Eatontown; his grandmother, Marjorie Olsen of Little Silver; two nieces and one nephew. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
