Notes The Monmouth Beach Library will hold the following children’s programs for November: Toddlers, ages 2 - 3 1/2, can enjoy stories, songs and fingerplays on Thursdays, Nov. 3, 10 and 17, 2:20 - 2:40 p.m. The preschool programs, for ages 3-5, at 1:30 p.m., are as follows: on Nov. 3, the film “Remarkable Riderless Runaway Tricycle” will be shown, and related stories read. On Nov. 10, “Travels of the Tooth Fairy” will be presented. Then, on Nov. 17, the children will make a Thanksgiving craft. All the school-age programs, for kindergarten through fourth grade, are multimedia, with a film, stories and a craft or activity each week; the programs are at 3:30 - 4:15 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 3, 10 and 17. Popcorn is served during the film. For all programs, if a regular attendee brings a friend to storytime who’s never been before, everyone gets a prize that day. ***** St. Jerome Church on Wall Street in West Long Branch will mark the beginning of its 50th anniversary with the 11 a.m. Mass this Sunday. The parish community will also welcome their new pastor, the Rev. Harold Cullen. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Kenard Tuzeneu, the first priestly vocation from St. Jerome who has been pastor at St. Mary’s Church in Barnegat since 1992. A reception will follow in the church hall. All are welcome to attend. The meeting agenda is intended to explain the purpose of the organization and to discuss the programs it offers to borough children. All future meetings, which are held on the first Tuesday of each month, will also be open to the public and the press. Tickets are $35 and include a sit-down dinner and an assortment of tickets for gifts valued between $75 to over $150. The grand prizes to be awarded include a 32-inch flat screen television, a three-burner gas grill and a Girlfriends Getaway Spa Package.
