Freeholder reassures public over federal probe

Each year, the Parks and Recreation Department contracts out construction work for either new or reparation work for our various facilities. In light of the recent ongoing federal probe, as the freeholder liaison to the Monmouth County Parks System I find it necessary to assure all county residents and taxpayers that the Monmouth County Park System has no person or entity currently under contract, or may have recently completed work on any of our facilities, who is involved in this probe.

Therefore, I have requested James J. Truncer, director of the Monmouth County Park System, to review all current and recently closed contracts to assure the freeholders that no person or entity involved in the probe is under contract to the Monmouth County Park System. I have asked Mr. Truncer to respond to me in writing of his findings.

For more information, call Freeholder William C. Barham at (732) 683-8800.
