Firefighters invited to march in parade March 6

Members of the Fire Department New York (FDNY) will join area firefighters marching in the Belmar St. Patrick’s Day parade March 6.

The event is organized by the South Monmouth County Fire Chief’s Association. The firefighters will march to honor the memory of members killed in the line of duty, and in action in Iraq. The South Monmouth Association invites departments to march in the years parade, and a committee of chiefs and ex-chiefs from South Monmouth are working on plans for the tribute.
