Community blood center to hold Sept. blood drives

Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury, will sponsor two blood drives in September at the following locations:

Booz Allen, in the Bloodmobile at the front entrance, 151 Industrial Way, Eatontown, from 8-11 a.m. on Sept. 22; and Eatontown Elks, 216 Broad St., Eatontown, from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 27.

All equipment is sterile, used once and discarded. Donors must eat before donating, provide identification, and wait eight weeks between donations.

Donations can also be made at the Central Jersey Blood Center, 494 Sycamore Ave., Shrewsbury. Donation hours are Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call (732) 842-5750.
