Area internist named to state post

Sara L. Wallach, M.D., FACP, vice chair and program director of internal medicine at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, was recently elected governor of the New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP), a medical specialty society.

She was elected to a four-year term by the members of the chapter, and will supervise chapter activities, appoint members to local committees, and preside at regional meetings. Wallach received her medical degree and completed her internal medicine residency at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center, Brooklyn.
