On Campus

Cristin K. Gilmore of Ocean has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Scranton (Pa.). She is a sophomore majoring in marketing.

Adam Metzger of Ocean, a senior at Ranney School, Tinton Falls, was recently named a finalist for the National Merit Scholarship Program. To become a finalist, a student must have high academic performance, be endorsed and recommended by the student’s principal, and earn SAT scores that confirm the student’s earlier qualifying test performance. Metzger was named a Bloustein Scholar earlier this year, and was recognized by The College Board as an AP Scholar with Distinction. He is a member of Ranney’s judicial review board, served as treasurer of the class of 2004 for all four years of high school, and is president of the Ranney chapter of the International Thespian Society.
