St. Rose High School plans events for Feb., March

St. Rose High School, Belmar, will present its festival of fine and performing arts, "La Brique Rouge," Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 28 from 7-9:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria, 607 Seventh Ave. An opening reception will be held Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. The event will feature a cabaret by the chorus, dance team, drill team and instrumental ensemble. Refreshments will be served, and the public is welcome to attend the free event.

The school’s "Family Fun Festival" will coincide with Belmar’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade March 7 from 1:30-4 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 5-12. The event in the gymnasium will feature corned beef sandwiches, entertainment, face painting and various activities. For tickets, call (732) 681-2858, ext. 329.

The annual dinner-dance and gift auction, "The Rose Garden Gala," will be held March 20 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight at Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club, Ocean Avenue. Tickets are $55 per person. The event will feature music by The Tides, dinner, coffee, dessert, a super 50/50 raffle, paddle auction, silent auction and gift basket auction.
