Screenings, programs at SCAN center during June

Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, will hold several free meetings and events at the Senior Citizens Activities Network (SCAN) Learning Center, Eatontown, beginning with the "Monmouth Easy Breathers" adult pulmonary support group meeting June 3 from 2-3:30 p.m.

"Easing Stress with Relaxation Techniques Including Guided Imagery" will be presented June 4 from 1-2:30 p.m. The Parkinson’s disease support group will meet June 5 from 10-11 a.m., and hold "Ease Into Exercise" from 11 a.m. to noon (fee: $3 per person).

Blood pressure screenings will be conducted June 11 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. "Dealing With Stress in Today’s Uncertain World" will be held June 11 from 1-2:30 p.m. A program on total joint replacement will be held June 23 from 10-11:30 a.m. "Dealing With Chronic Pain" will be presented June 30 from 10-11:30 a.m.

Registration is required for all programs and activities, which are free for SCAN members; membership is free for individuals age 50 and older.
