AAUW plans Eleanor Roosevelt Walk/Run June 1

The Northern Monmouth County Branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its "Eleanor Roosevelt Walk/Run: Making Strides for Women and Girls" June 1 at 9 a.m. at Brookdale Community College, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown.

The AAUW’s Eleanor Roosevelt Fund supports research, provides teacher fellowships, and finances the AAUW’s annual teacher institute. Two trails will be offered, a 1-mile historic walk (to the past) to learn about Roosevelt, the land now known as Brookdale, and the connection between the college and the AAUW; and a 3-mile fitness walk around the campus.
