Center seeks volunteers for area agencies

The Volunteer Center of Monmouth County needs volunteers for a West Long Branch senior center to assist residents with dressing and counting dolls and bears collected at the center. Hours are flexible, Monday-Sunday.

A Monmouth County organization that shelters the homeless needs volunteers for general yard work, painting and spring cleaning in the Red Bank area.

An area agency that houses the homeless needs volunteers to plan and facilitate game nights and other activities for residents in the Red Bank area.

A society dedicated to the protection of children needs artists to paint murals in a room of a Red Bank building, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (flexible).

A county social services agency needs receptionists in the Long Branch area, four days a week from 4-9 p.m., and Saturday mornings. Also needed are volunteers for the supervised parenting program, Sundays from 1-3 p.m.

A Red Bank youth ministry needs bus drivers for its camp program during July and August. Routes are between Red Bank and Asbury Park, and a stipend is offered.

An agency that assists the physically disabled needs aides for its Shrewsbury office to answer phones, assist with mailings and perform database entry.

The Monmouth County Park System needs volunteers for gardening, kitchen work, and house and visitor center help in the Holmdel area.
