Society to meet May 24

Jersey Shore Rose Society will hold its next meeting May 24 at 1:30 p.m. at Hamilton First Aid Building, 3600 Route 33 east, Neptune. Guest speaker will be member Stacey Catron, Eatontown, who will discuss "Exhibiting Roses for Fun." Refreshments will also be served.

Area students take

second in competition

Students from Ocean Township Intermediate School recently won second place in the New Jersey State Bar Foundation "Law Adventure Competition." The students were asked to write mock trial cases dealing with one of two themes, environmental issues or unlawful search, seizure or detainer.

The winners performed cases at the New Jersey Law Center, New Brunswick, and winning cases will be published and distributed to elementary schools next fall.
